OOC: The New, Improved Character Survey of Doom
Body and Appearance
1. Describe the character's height and build. Is she heavyset, thin, short, rangy?
Amane is around 153cm and have a slim build.
2. How old is she?
16.
3. Describe her posture. Does she carry herself well or does she slouch?
She has a very good posture, as seen here. Considering her upbringing and status as the Shomonkai priestess, Amane have a very dignified stance and aura around her.
4. How is her health? Is she fit or out of shape? Any illnesses or conditions? Any physical disabilities?
Amane is underweight and isn’t the most fastest of runners.
5. How does she move? Is she clumsy, graceful, tense, fluid?
Graceful. It ties directly to her posture, so she moves gracefully and gives a good impression to anyone watching her. Plus with that sleeve thing, Amane would know how to move. :|
6. How attractive is this character physically? How does she perceive herself in the mirror?
She’s quite attractive! There’s some ingame comments where people consider her as “cute” (from the MC and Atsuro, no less), and Amane does have a good figure.
But she doesn’t think much about her beauty. It’s not a high priority of hers, beside looking presentable to people.
7. Describe her complexion. Dark, light, clear, scarred?
Clear, light and judging from the colouring, Amane went outside a fair bit. So she’s not pale, but it’s still somewhat light.
8. Describe her hair: color, texture, style.
Short purple hair, just above her shoulders. It’s quite a tidy and neat hair style.
9. What color are her eyes?
Purple. Same shade as her hair.
10. Does the character have any other noteworthy features?
That lotus headband seriously.
11. What are her chief tension centers?
Her back, what with her usual posture, walking around and standing a lot.
12. What is the character's wardrobe like? Casual, dressy, utilitarian? Bright colors, pastels, neutrals? Is it varied, or does she have six of the same suit?
Her Shomonkai uniform is...eye-catching. And since she’s wearing it during the lockdown, we never get a chance to see her in casual clothes. But I think Amane prefers simple clothes and designs, as well as kimonos/yukatas.
13. Do her clothes fit well? Does she seem comfortable in them?
Yes. I personally think her own uniform was tailored to her size, but isn’t too form fitting. Fit well enough, but she can still move around.
14. Does she dress the same on the job as she does in her free time? If not, what are the differences?
We never saw her in casual clothes before, but I think she doesn’t wear her uniform in her free time. Only for work.
15. You knew it was coming: Boxers, briefs or commando?
Panties She never thinks about this!!
Speech
1. What does this character's voice sound like? High-pitched, deep, hoarse?
Feminine and low, a little calmer than a normal teenager.
2. How does she normally speak? Loud, soft, fast, evenly? Does she talk easily, or does she hesitate?
She speaks evenly and clearly with strength. She’s very well spoken and think of her words.
3. Does the character have a distinct accent or dialect? Any individual quirks of pronunciation? Any, like, you know, verbal tics?
Nope.
4. What language/s does she speak, and with how much fluency?
Japanese, given that she’s a native speaker. But I also think she knows English, with how widespread the language is, and Latin, due to its historical influences in the supernatural. A bit of the Demonic language, too, due to dealing with demons.
5. Does she switch languages or dialects in certain situations?
Only for communication purposes, I think. Otherwise, she speaks mainly Japanese because...everyone’s talking in Japanese in Tokyo.
6. Is she a good impromptu speaker, or does she have to think about her words?
She think about her words before speaking, but if she needs to, Amane can be a good impromptu speaker. It really depends on the situation and how emotional she is.
7. Is she eloquent or inarticulate? Under what circumstances might this change?
Eloquent, duh.
But when something big happens, that’s when her eloquence break. Such as her disappointment in Kazuya’s poor decision (Yuzu’s route, Day 7) or watching her father die.
Mental and Emotional
1. How intelligent is this character? Is she book-smart or street-smart?
Book smart and quite intelligent.
2. Does she think on her feet, or does she need time to deliberate?
A mix of both.
3. Describe the character's thought process. Is she more logical, or more intuitive? Idealistic or practical?
Oh, boy.
Amane is an intuitive thinker, but she’s also a logical thinker when doing her duty. While she wished to be idealistic, she knows it’s not possible. She went around and saving as many people as possible, all while dealing with rogue Shomonkai members abusing their COMPs. Amane knows she need to prioritise, so she’s forced to be a logical and practical speaker to cover her idealism.
4. What kind of education has the character had?
Normal. She received mandatory education up until she graduated from middle school. Instead of going to high school, she chose to enter the family business.
5. What are her areas of expertise? What, if anything, is she interested in learning more about?
She’s a priestess with strong spiritual powers. Amane’s expertise lies in dealing with spirits, demons and using magic. She’d most likely continue her studies into theology and mythology.
Digging into headcanon, I think Amane would also look into literature. The Shomonkai may practice freedom of speech and communication, but I believe she doesn’t use the Internet or watch TV a lot. So literature for her.
6. Is she an introvert or an extrovert?
Introvert. She’s a very private person and rarely speak about herself.
7. Describe the character's temperament. Is she even-tempered or does she have mood swings? Cheerful or melancholy? Laid-back or driven?
Even tempered and quiet, but very driven. Her father taught her to control her emotions, so Amane rarely get angry. When she does, she doesn’t know how to deal with them.

Coolly and calmly, while gathering as much information as she can to know what to do.

To act.

Fight, unless it’s a hopeless situation. But she’ll fight to protect people, even at the cost of her life.

What sense of humour? She would recognise that something might be funny to others, but she personally doesn't think it's funny.

Failure and having her soul devoured by Jezebel. Failure means people would die and they won’t live in peace anymore.
Having her soul devoured is different from dying. It means completely and slowly destroying her sense of identity and self. That was partially why she worked hard to bring Belberith into the human world for her father. If Belberith seek to become King of Bel, he need to absorb Jezebel.
She does earnestly want to save people, but some small part of her want to live as well.
15. What are her hopes or aspirations?
She...doesn’t have any personal ones. Amane was raised to save people from God’s Ordeal, like she’s was being mould into a messianic figure. Her father means well, but it didn’t prepare her for a proper life.
If you ask her what she wants to do, other than helping people? What she, Amane Kuzuryu, want to do as a person for herself? She’d be stumped.
16. What is something she doesn't want anyone to find out about her?
Her secret fears and worries. And how she doesn’t have a lot of self-worth. If people knows, she’d cause them to worry more than they need to deal with.
Relationships

Her mother left after the divorce. I headcanon this happening many years ago, so there's not a lot of strong emotional connections.
As for her father, Amane’s very loyal and close to him. He’s the man who raised her, and taught her all she knows. That’s why she accepted Jezebel into her body and works hard as the Shomonkai priestess. She only starts doubting him when she heard Remiel’s words. Before that, Amane believed her father’s way was the only way to save people.
She loves him, after all.
2. Does the character have any siblings? What is/was their relationship like?
She’s an only child.
3. Are there other blood relatives to whom she is close? Are there ones she can't stand?
None that we know of, since Amane’s a private person and never talks about herself.
4. Are there other, unrelated people whom she considers part of her family? What are her relationships with them?
Tentatively Kazuya, because he’s her first human friend she learns to trust and believe in.
5. Who is/was the character's best friend? How did they meet?
Kazuya again, and they met on the night before the lockdown went up. She saved him and his friends, fighting off the demons.

Nope. Human ones at least. I think she made some friends with the local spirits living around her house and possibly talk with people when she was a student. No close friendships, however.
7. Does she make friends easily, or does she have trouble getting along with people?
Not easily, and that’s due to her not opening herself up to people easily. She’s nice, but talking and opening up is hard for her.

They’re both important to her, so it’s hard to decide.

She’s single and never been in a relationship before.

Nope. Single and not looking.

Unknown. Most likely Kazuya if she get to know him outside of the lockdown.If she even knows about this crush thing

Kind hearted, patience and generally being nice and dependable.

No rivals. As for enemies, you could say Naoya is her enemy, because his plan directly opposes the ideal she followed.

She never shows any interest in either gender, and Kazuya can be explained away as being a person with a good heart. Amane doesn’t care about the gender, only the personality. So she’s most likely asexual or X.

She doesn’t think a lot about sex. Amane knows it’s for both reproduction and recreational purposes, but she never have a drive for it.

If she ever and actually has sex with someone, Amane would be...pretty shy and most likely to bottom. However, with someone she trusts and love, Amane would try her best. She’d probably be a very attentive and gentle lover, taking her time until she’s more confident. Her lover would have to convince her to try anything new, however. Amane’s probably oblivious about most kinks, so her lover need to be understanding of her limits for anything new.

She’s very spiritual, no matter what. As for religion, it depends on the route she’s from. In her own route, she obviously worships God. In others, she’s not as religious. Her priority was helping people over whom to worship. But you can’t deny that her life’s deep in spiritualism.
3. Does this character have a personal code of morals or ethics? If so, how did that begin? What would it take to compromise it?
Yes, she does. Most of it came from her father, who was a very passionate and well-meaning man. The only thing that challenged it was when people’s lives are at stake.
4. How does she regard beliefs that differ from hers? Is she tolerant, intolerant, curious, indifferent?
She’d be neutral and maybe respect them. However, she disagrees with a world where chaos rules without order. Too many innocents would get hurt. Otherwise, she’d respect other beliefs.
5. What prejudices does she hold? Are they irrational or does she have a good reason for them?
She have prejudices against demons who cause bloodshed and chaos, particularly without a reason. Demons usually have a bad reputation, so she’s wary of any demons she deals with. Which is ironic, given that the Shomonkai worship a demon.

I say pretty comfortable. Amane looks rather healthy (Jezebel notwithstanding) and well-educated, so I think she doesn’t have any money trouble.

Middle class, if you ignore her being a priestess. But in the Shomonkai, Amane outranks most of the members except for her father and arguably Azuma. This means she’s used to people respecting her and following any orders she give. But she never let it go to her head.
3. Where does she live? House, apartment, trailer? Is her home her castle or just a place to crash? What condition is it in? Does she share it with others?
I think Amane lived in a nice house with her father. It’s not big or grand, but enough to raise a child in. She would keep it tidy and clean, helping out with the chores and cooking.
After her father died, I think she still lives there, even when it’s lonely.
4. Besides the basic necessities, what does she spend her money on?
Um...work stuff? And maybe books for studying.
5. What does she do for a living? Is she good at it? Does she enjoy it, or would she rather be doing something else?
Being the Shomonkai priestess. Even after the lockdown, there’s a chance the ordeal could return. Knowing this, Amane works hard to better educate people and be better at helping them.

Reading. She’s very sheltered, so not as much Internet surfing or TV watching. Or even video games.

She’s on a healthy diet. I believe she doesn’t eat junk food that much, and any sweet foods she have are probably traditional Japanese sweets.
